For two decades Torstar was a global brand communications business that established itself as the agency of choice for international retail brands launching into the Australian lifestyle market.

About

Thanks to its insights into global consumer and retail behaviour and with a strong focus on brand strategy, Torstar developed iconic campaigns for the world’s top consumer brands including Zara, Victoria’s Secret, Nespresso and Steve Madden. It created magic for multi-billion dollar companies and A-list clients, rocketing profits, reputation and visibility. The global communications strategy Torstar built for Sukin and Seafollly resulted in $100 million acquisition deals.

Torstar was founded in 2000 by PR powerbroker Tory Archbold when she was in her twenties and determined to create an impactful, lasting business that satisfied her love for the media industry. As a single mum running an international business with a team of 22, Tory’s loyalty and leadership was rewarded by clients partnering with Torstar for an average of eight years.

Torstar went out on top when Tory closed it after watching her client Drew Barrymore talking onstage about surviving tough times. She realised that while she was getting the stories of celebrities, influencers and brands into the world, her own was yet to be told. Tory founded Powerful Steps in 2019 and as CEO now plots roadmaps to business and personal success for high-octane businesswomen and C-suite executives.
